Research on film openings

When I researched the web I originally found out that the movie title sequences are seen to be one of the most important factors when making a good quality film, for example choosing the correct actors is vital for audiences and setting the tone and atmosphere is also a deciding factor whether a film is worth watching. The opening scenes of a film are important as you want to retain viewers and in order to do this you need to make not only the first scenes good but also all the other scenes. Furthermore, I found out that the majority of film institutions aim to produce the first 15 minutes of a film as enticing as possible. They do this to make sure that the viewers do not leave in the first 10 minutes for instance making it interesting then the audience will hopefully stay and watch the rest of the film.  Also, when I researched about the screenplay and it says that if you do not make the script interesting then it is highly unlikely your film will want to be made, having said this, trying to make a script sound interesting is difficult as people often get bored whilst reading.
