Health and safety

When we are filming there a lot of precautions we need to consider, such as:

·         Location

·         Equipment/props

·         Costume/costumes

The location has been considered with the safety in mind, for example we had three different locations that we could potentially film in. however, we chose the location we did because it is away from a main road where as our other two locations were near main roads which we believed were unsafe as the cars drive up and down them roads at high speeds which would put not only us at risk but also our characters therefore we chose what we believed was the safest location.

Equipment/props – when we were making our final decisions on our equipment we had to decide what ones we thought would be safe. For example we are going to use a plastic beer cup instead of a glass one as we believe it will be a lot safer as if we dropped the glass cup it could cause injury to us and the actors/actresses therefore a plastic one means no one is put at risk.

Costume/costumes – when we were deciding our costume we chose clothes that would not necessarily hurt the character but irritate them. We chose costumes that we thought would be comfortable for the character to wear therefore by dressing them in a t shirt, jeans and a pair of comfortable shoes would mean that they would be comfortable when acting.
